https://jurnalairaha.polikpsorong.ac.id/index.php?journal=airaha&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=500

Green mussels (Perna viridis) are an aquaculture commodity that belongs to the class of bivalves that are filter feeders. Depuration is one of the post-harvest handling of shellfish with the aim of washing toxic contamination materials in clam meat. This study aims to reduce the heavy metal content and total bacteria in green mussel meat as well as organic matter in water from the depuration process of green mussels. The observed research variables are heavy metal content, total bacteria, organic matter, and water quality. The results showed that giving alginate extract in the filter was able to reduce the metal content of lead (Pb) and total bacteria in green mussel meat and organic matter in the water of the depuration process. The results of the timabal heavy metal test on green mussel meat showed 0.00 mg/kg or were not detected either before or after the depuration process. The calculation of bacterial colonies on green mussel meat showed a decrease of 6.25x108 CFU/g, from 20.05 x108 CFU/g to 13.80 x108 CFU/g. The total organic matter in the water of the depuration process of green mussels depuration was able to reduce the total organic matter in water by 6.32 mg / L, from 31.6±0.0 mg / L to 25.28±0.00 mg / L. Water quality measurements showed a temperature of 28.90ºC, salinity of 28.50ppt, dissolved oxygen 8.90mg / L, ammonia 0.20mg / L, pH 7.13ppm.
Nur Sa'diyahUmmul FirmaniAndi Rahmad Rahim

Batik Lobster (Panulirus longipes femoristriga) is a potential commodity with limited information, especially on its cultivation aspects. Salinity is one of the cultivation factors affecting the body’s metabolism through the osmoregulation mechanism. The research aims to identify the impact of salinity on the gonad. It was conducted from September 2019 to January 2020 in Mata Shrimp Seeds Center, Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. The Batik Lobster (P. l. femoristriga) studied weighed 237±50 grams, with carapace length and width of 7.9 ±0.74 cm and 4.76±0.49 cm, and total lobster under testing of 64 lobsters. The research had different treatments, such as 28, 31, and 34⁰/ₒₒ salinity. The study discovered that the gonadosomatic index of the male lobster (0.44±0.27%) was lower than the female lobster (0.47±0.15%). As for the histological appearance of the lobster, the first and second gonadosomatic indexes were dominated by the oogonia and previtellogenic oocyte stages. It contrasts with the third and fourth gonadosomatic indexes, which were dominant in the mature stage. However, on 34⁰/ₒₒ salinity, the eggs in the endogenous vitellogenic oocytes and exogenous vitellogenic oocyte stages. The other impact of salinity is the reduction of some of the cells’ organelle among other egg cells, fibrous connective tissue, and follicle cells
Muhammad Haikal AbdurachmanAdi SuryadinZulfiani Zulfiani

Mempawah watershed supports various people's needs in Mempawah and Sintang. Regional Drinking Water Company (PDAM) takes water from the Mempawah watershed as raw water for drinking water needs. However, using water from the Mempawah watershed was disrupted due to Unlicensed Gold Mining (PETI) activities, which resulted in mercury pollution. This study was conducted to analyze the level of mercury pollution in watersheds due to illegal gold mining activities. The results of this research can be used as a taking water point reference for drinking water managers to take their raw water for further processing. This study uses a purposive sampling method with 29 sample points in the river's upstream, middle, and downstream parts. The samples' results will be analyzed using the AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy) method, and the results will be analyzed spatially using Spatial Dynamic Modeling in Geographical Information System (GIS) software. The analysis used in ArcGis is the kriging interpolation method to determine the distribution of mercury pollution. From the study results, it was found that in the middle of the Mempawah watershed, there is mercury pollution of 0.0023 mg/lt to 0.0083 mg/lt.
Tri Bayu AjiYudi SetiawanaZaenal AbidinaSlamet Tarno

https://jurnalairaha.polikpsorong.ac.id/index.php?journal=airaha&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=605

Most Sardinella fimbriata in Muara Angke are caught using mini purse seine. Sardinella fimbriata is not a seasonal catch because it’s often caught by mini purse seines in all seasons. The sustainability of the use of Sardinella fimbriata needs to be guaranteed by studying its biological aspects. Therefore, research was carried out related to biological aspects based on the long-weight relationship of Sardinella fimbriata and reproductive aspects, namely based on the size of first maturity. Field data collection was carried out for 21 days with a total of 14 fishing trips. During these 14 trips, settings were carried out 21 times. The fishing ground of KM. Sukma Wijaya is in the Java Sea Waters area (WPP NRI) 712, which is around Bidadari Island, Lancang Island, and Fort Martelo. Data analysis that used in this study is the long-weight relationship of sardinella fimbriata). Sardinella fimbriata that caught at Muara Angke has the range of total length about 120-160 mm and a weight range of 20-45 grams. This indicates that Sardinella fimbriata has undergone a gonad maturation process. Based on the length-weight relationship, it is said that the Sardinella fimbriata in Muara Angke Jakarta has a negative allometric growth pattern with b value is about 3.26. This can be caused that these are in coastal waters with high fishing pressure so their movement activity is also high.

Ratih Purnama SariDian Sutono HSYaser KrisnafiMustasim MustasimWidodo Saputro

https://jurnalairaha.polikpsorong.ac.id/index.php?journal=airaha&page=article&op=view&path%5B%5D=657

Providing a cheap and drinkable water is a major problem for people living in brackish water coastal areas. Residents usually buy water from refill water depots or are forced to use slightly brackish well water for cooking and drinking purposes. Consuming water that contains high levels of salt and other contaminants can be harmful to health in the long run. This study aims to produce a simple brackish water filter that is cheap and can be operated on a household scale to meet the cooking and drinking needs of people in coastal areas. The filter tool is made using filter materials in the form of NaOH activated zeolite, Malang blacksand, greensand, activated charcoal and sponges. Deposition of dissolved particles using moringa seed powder is done before the water is put into the filtering process. Filtration was carried out with a duration of 4, 8, 16 and 32 hours. Salinity, pH and DO of water before and after filtration were measured for each filtering duration, while other parameters were only measured for filtered water with the period of 32 hours. The filter successfully improved the parameters of salinity, pH, turbidity, iron content, hardness, chloride content and organic matter content and can be used as drinking water by cooking it first to remove the chloride content which is still above the maximum specified standard.
YonoAnas Noor FirdausRina Madinatul MunawarohKennedi SembiringYuni Ariwibowo
