Rancang Bangun Alat Tangkap Ramah Lingkungan Untuk Keberlanjutan Ikan Endemik Pulau Tomia Wakatobi
Abstract
This study aims to identify and design environmentally friendly fishing gear in accordance with the regional regulations of Wakatobi Regency to support the sustainability of ole fish in Tomia Island. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and focus group discussions (FGDs). The results of this study are expected to provide both technical and social recommendations for the development of sustainable fishing gear based on local wisdom. Data were analyzed thematically and validated through source triangulation to enhance the study’s credibility. This research contributes to the conservation of endemic fish resources and the strengthening of community-based fisheries governance.
