Performance of Zero Water Discharge System With Additional Probiotics and Carbon Source in phase Nursery of Milk fish (Chanos chanos)
Abstract
This study aims to determine the performance of zero water discharge system through the addition of probiotics and a carbon source from tapioca flour at the nursery phase of milk fish (Chanos chanos). This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method with three treatments and three. Treatment A: milkfish nursery without the ZWD system, treatment B : milkfish nursery with ZWD system with the addition of probiotics, treatment C : ZWD milkfish nursery with the addition of probiotics and tapioca flour. The results of this study showed a significant difference for each treatment (P <0.05) on the growth and viability of milkfish fingerling. The highest growth and survival were found in treatment C (zwd + probiotics + tapioca flour) of 0.11 g and 75.56%. For water physico-chemical parameters including DO, temperature, pH, salinity, TAN and nitrite are still in a good range for milkfish nurseries.
